The artists works capture a landscape of a mountain at night presented in an almost solid black print. The artist interprets the subject with a figurative approach, through his sensibilities of the absence of light. The motif of night scenery is crucial in most of his work, which are suffused with silence and stillness. Cheung tries to reproduce the image in a large size intaglio print with three plate, to pull viewers into the immersive darkness achieved by deep etched aquatint.
